Service Description
- 1 virtual private session weekly during a 5 week period - sessions start on or about 32 weeks gestions (not encouraged or considered as effective prior to 3rd trimester) - each session is accompanied with digital mindful breathing worksheets and affirmation cards The expectation is to assist client to practice and learn pain management techniques in a form of self-hypnosis, deep relaxation, visualization, and specialized breathing to help manage discomfort, reduction of fear, engaging in calmness, and an affirming of positivity in the childbearing experience. These sessions aim to foster a profound holistic attuning with mother and baby(ies). This tool encourages quieting the negative noise of the mind and places control in the foresight of the mother by building self confidence in late 3rd trimester. What to Expect: Ability to promote calmness: An understanding of the mind-body connection and the impact of fear and tension on the impact of the late stage pregnancy and the birthing process. Using the concept of naturalizing the maternal prenatal experience. Self-Hypnosis and Deep Relaxation: A state of being in a deep and focused relaxation (similar to daydreaming) while remaining fully aware and in control. The body is thrust into releasing natural pain-relieving hormones (endorphins). Breathing Techniques: Specific breathing patterns for pregnancy, labor, and birth to ensure proper oxygenation and manage sensations. Visualization and Affirmations: Use of guided imagery (e.g., picturing a beach water rippling) and positive statements ("My body was designed to do this") to reinforce a positive mindset and release fear-based thoughts. Anatomy and Physiology: A solid understanding of the stages of labor and the body's processes to help you make informed decisions and create a personalized birth plan.
