Certified Postpartum Doula

Service Description

Service includes preferred in-person visits (hybrid option/virtual support). During the visits, I can provide breastfeeding support [suggest International Breastfeeding Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) if applicable], newborn care tips, referrals to community resources, and a chance to discuss your birth experience. In-person Support: Minimum 4 hours in-person shifts each [all services listed below are applicable] *maximum of 6 hours in-person shifts per visit [must be discussed/agreed upon prior to each shift] Virtual Support (v): 4 hours maximum per shift each [services identified with ‘[v]’ where applicable below] - unlimited phone, text, video, and email communication [v] - active listening for emotional and educational support [v] - assist with light housework - newborn care assistance (client must remain in the home) - assist with infant feeding - provide relevant community resources or referrals (if applicable) [v] - maternal nutritional support {i.e.: meal preparation} [v] – resources - child / environmental safety assistance [v] - resources - assistance with organizing meet and greet of newborn [v] – resources - supportive in maternal self-care techniques [v] – resources - holistic care assistance -breastfeeding and/or formula feeding assistance Postpartum Overnight Infant Support **ONLY FOR EXISTING CLIENTS** $30 per hour; maximum 8 hours (i.e.: 11pm - 7am) maximum of 3 consecutive nights are to be discussed **(Doula is provide accommodations and permitted to sleep when infant is sleeping.)** Responsibility entails: - caring for infant in separate area from client’s personal room (client’s residence only) - light housework in the area in which caring for child (i.e.: folding infant clothes, making / sanitizing bottles, organize play area) - change diapers, maintain cleanliness of infant, feed infant, putting infant to sleep - services are no more than 3 consecutive nights (3 consecutive nights are to be discussed in advance) *ask about discounts for other services with the purchase of this package
